Hey Ruth exists to make meaningful conversation accessible. Every interaction on the Platform should feel safe, respectful, and comfortable for everyone involved.

This Code of Conduct applies to all Customers and Friends using the Hey Ruth Platform and should be read together with the Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, Disclaimer, and Booking Changes & Refunds Policy. Breaches of this Code of Conduct may also constitute a breach of the Terms & Conditions.

Respectful Behaviour

All interactions on Hey Ruth must be conducted with respect, kindness, and consideration.

Customers and Friends are expected to communicate respectfully, be mindful of different backgrounds, beliefs, and perspectives, and maintain a courteous and considerate tone.

Nature of Conversations

Conversations on Hey Ruth are intended to be friendly, respectful, and platonic.

The Platform is designed for human connection through conversation and is not a dating platform, a counselling or therapy service, or a crisis or emergency support service.

Boundaries

Healthy boundaries are essential to maintaining a safe and comfortable environment.

Customers and Friends must respect personal boundaries, avoid intrusive or overly personal questioning, and not pressure others to continue a conversation.

Privacy

Customers and Friends must respect each other’s privacy.

Users must not share personal contact details, attempt to move conversations off the Platform, or record conversations without consent.

Prohibited Behaviour

The following behaviour is not permitted on the Hey Ruth Platform: harassment, abuse, or offensive language; sexual or romantic advances; requests for professional advice or services; promotion of external services or businesses; attempts to share personal contact details or move conversations off the Platform; recording conversations without consent; or unlawful conduct of any kind.

Platform Integrity

Hey Ruth is designed to facilitate respectful, one-to-one conversations. Customers and Friends must use the Platform in a way that aligns with its purpose.

Reporting Concerns

If you experience behaviour that feels inappropriate or unsafe, please contact Hey Ruth through the Contact Us page.

Hey Ruth will acknowledge your report and review the circumstances. Where action is required, Hey Ruth may restrict, suspend, or remove access to the Platform for the person involved.

Breaches

Failure to comply with this Code of Conduct may result in restriction, suspension, or removal of access to the Platform. Where a breach also constitutes a breach of the Terms & Conditions, Hey Ruth may take further action as outlined in those Terms.
